Highland Pang Hats

I live in the Scottish Highlands, where we tend to need hats a lot. A couple of years ago, watching the Scottish comedian Billy Connolly in a programme where he travelled round the Northwest Passage, I was intrigued by a hat he wore (images here and here). I had no idea if it was knitted or crocheted, had never seen a hat like it before, but loved the design. So I set about researching and experimenting until I had created my first hat similar to that one in design. When it was much admired, I made another two for friends, which they loved. I decided to sell my creations on a website. I only use good quality wool, including alpaca, for the hats here, and don't make the same hat twice, so each one is unique. If anyone has a wool allergy, or is vegan, I'm happy to create a bespoke hat using acrylic yarn.
